The work of our parents’ Association is vital for the success and smooth running of Holy Trinity school. The parents organise fund-raising events, school-based initiatives, talks for parents and treats for the children at festive times. They have in-put to policy development and other appropriate initiatives and maintain close links with our Board of management. They play a central role in team Holy Trinity.
Chairperson: Marian Roche
Representatives on the Board of Management: Denise Bridgeman and Barry Loftus
Regular fundraisers held are:
-Bags to school (unwanted clothing items are collected in school and sold to the company)
-Christmas: 2 selection boxes raffled off per class, goody bags sold during Christmas plays, raffles held with great donated spot prizes.
-Easter: Raffle tickets sold and two chocolate Easter bunnies per class raffled off.
-Sports Day: Tea/coffee, donated cakes and goody bags are sold.
-Dublin Ladies’ Mini-Marathon
-School book fair with a variety of children’s books and stationary sold.
The funds raised are spent on items requested by the school while covering the expenses of the association. We also send the 6th class students to the LeisurePlex, Coolock, on their last day of school.
There are a few informal meetings during the year (average of one per month) starting with a coffee morning, in which we explain our expenses and outline our intentions. We are always there to welcome new parents and new suggestions. Drop in at any time. Even if it is only to help at our fundraising events, we would love to have you.
Please contact the school and leave your details if you wish to attend our meetings.
