In Irish news the children’s referendum was held on Saturday November 10th. 57.4% of the population voted yes and 42.6% voted no. Technology is important in Holy Trinity. Recently every classroom got a computer so that children now have somewhere to research for projects and get their questions answered! Here is a movie on what our school is doing to try get the Green Flag.
Not only are most of 4th class busy doing up their projects on their families but they have also been learning about Dublin city, the capital of Ireland. Today is the 29th of February. This is a special date as it only comes around every 4 years when there is a leap year. The next time we will have a leap year will be in 2016. In Ireland the tradition on the 29th of February is that women can propose to men.

We recently had great fun when some of the All-Ireland winning Dublin football team came to visit the school with Sam Maguire. During the week of October 15th, the school celebrated Maths Week. Lots of different activities were done around the school, such as maths trails and symmetrical art. It helped to show the pupils that maths is all around us.
