Champions
As I walked onto the grounds of Croke Park my stomach was floating with butterflies. My body was tense, as ill at ease.
It came time for I and our team to play our match for the shield. I was worried for my school. This was going to be a big achievement for Holy Trinity. I put my nerves to rest. My mind and heart was in control. I myself was able to command my best strength and my ability to move the best I can for my team.
It was two goals, sixteen points in the final stages of the match. Screams, whistles, roars and claps filled the air from the Holy Trinity supporters. The thrill of excitement filled everybody’s hearts. This was it. The enthusiasm and eagerness of I and the team mates had paid off.
The final whistle was blown by the referee and Holy Trinity were champions . The day was ours. Excitement from everyone had turned to happiness, cheerfulness and was surrounded around everyone. It was one of the happiest moments. I felt contentment that I could achieve anything in life if I put the hard work in.
