It was on Wednesday at the start of January and we had our first match
It was the first school match in just over two years and we were playing Belmayne Educate Together.
We started to get ready at one o’clock and when we got out to the pitch we were warming up. I was captain of the team so I went in to the middle and we were scoring down near Scoil Bhríde. We were around five minutes in and Layla got the first score, she put it straight in to the back of the net. Next it was a Belmayne kick out and it went into Holy Trinity hands and we then put in it over the bar just to settle us down by the time it was half time.
We all ran back on to the pitch on some subs were made and the whistle was blew we were in the second half the ball was put straight into Belmayne’s hands and the ball was slipped passed our defence and it was put over the bar. It was a Holy Trinity kick out and we had safely put it up the pitch and got our third goal. It was a kick out for Belmayne and then Holly put it the back of the net again. The ball was then put over the bar by Robyn Lawlor. All the girls on the team played really well as Holy Trinity went on to win the game. In the end all of the girls that played got homework off for the evening. Well done to every girl that came out and trained and played with us.
