A beautifully written piece by Katie Norton about Holy Trinity School.

Well done Katie. You did a lovely job of this and we see great things for you in your future. Keep up the great work.

Today I am writing about my school, Holy Trinity S.N.S. This is an excellent school which teach boys and girls from 3rd to 6th class. Mr.Henry, our recent principal Mr.Grogan’s successor, is now principal of the school.

The school recently added activities to the yard for the students’ amusement and to make the yard a more active place. Activities consist of skipping, soft balls and hoola hooping. Also on a Friday there is music played from a speaker for all to enjoy. Also recently added is the school dodgeball tournament, organised by Ms.Keating, one team from each class compete against the other teams in their year to win.

Walk on Wednesday, or WOW for short, aims to get everybody walking to school, in this case on a Wednesday. On one Wednesday of each month each class is encouraged to go to the meet up point and walk to school with the other students participating in the walk. The class with the most students walking wins the golden boot and a night off homework.

Holy Trinity also has a garden and polytunnel. The garden is complete with beds for growing vegetables and herbs and a composting area.

Sport is a big part of school life in Holy Trinity. There are a range of sports that take place in our school such as; gaelic football, camogie, hurling, basketball and swimming.

An important role in our school is played by the parents. The Holy Trinity Parents Association is in charge of many events and fundraisers such as; the Christmas raffle, the Easter raffle, Sports Day drinks and goodies and cake sale. The money goes to items needed for the school.

In conclusion, Holy Trinity S.N.S covers a variety of areas in the curriculum and in extra curriculum and is an excellent school with delightful students and superb staff. Thank you for reading my article.
