4th Class Trip to Glasnevin Cemetery and The National Botanic Gardens

By | 20th June 2018

On Wednesday the 30th of May Ms. McCormick’s 4th class went to Glasnevin Cemetery and the National Botanic Gardens. Our mode of transport was a bus. Our two lovely tour guides were Niall and Charlotte. They both were really helpful and told us loads. We went to learn about the history of Ireland and plants and trees. Firstly, we went to Glasnevin Cemetery we went to the museum first and then we met Niall. Niall brought us to Miachael Collins grave, Grace Gifford’s grave, Eamon De Valera’s grave and much much more. At the end we went to Daniel O’Connell’s tomb. After we had our lunch and then went to the Botanic Gardens and met Charlotte. She brought us to this massive tree called the sequoia tree. Then she brought us to this little island with rhododendron bushes. And finally, we went to the Viking hut. At the end we got back on the bus and went back to school. I think I can speak for my whole class when I say we had a great day!
